Xerox copier - Secure printing using a PIN code to release jobs
You can keep print jobs that you send to the copiers private. When you send the job, it will be 'on hold' in the copier until you enter a four-digit code of your choice to release it. This way you can make sure you are in front of the copier when it prints.
How to print the secure job
- Click Print, select the copier (ARCH-Staff-226D-Copier or ARCH-Staff-206D-Copier).
- Go into the printer settings or properties.
- Under Printing Options, change the Job Type from Normal to Secure Print.
- Click the 3-dot button to the right of Secure Print.
- Enter a passcode (it will be saved for future use). Now print the job.
How to release the secure job on the copier
- On the copier, press the Status button on the left side of the control panel to show the list of waiting jobs.
- Tap the Secure Print Jobs tab. Tap your folder on the list.
- Enter the passcode you set up earlier and tap OK.
- It should now show all the waiting jobs in your folder. You can tap 'Release All', or long press on each individual job to bring up a small menu to release or delete it.
- Once you release the job, it is moved over to the Active Jobs tab where you can monitor the progress.
