History Writing Lab Schedule-Spring 2025
We are offering our History Writing Lab again this semester! This is a free service provided by four of our History Graduate Students to assist you with your history course writing assignments. We will be offering in-person only Writing Labs this semester.
Please read the schedule below carefully to ensure you are going to the right location.
The Details:
- The History writing Lab is for History course writing assignments only.
- If you need assistance with non-history writing assignments you should make an appointment at The Writing Center.
- If you have questions regarding course content, grades, or grading policies, please visit your TA or History Professor during their office hours.
Important changes we ask you to note before attending a Writing Lab this spring:
- Students will be asked to sign in and out when attending a History Writing Lab.
- We now ask that you come prepared with an outline or rough draft.
- The graduate students are available to assist you by ensuring your papers are formatted correctly based on faculty, department and University standards. They are also able to assist you in expanding upon your thesis, however, they are not expected to assist you in choosing a topic for your paper or teaching you material you should be learning in class.
- If you need assistance with developing a topic for your paper or have course specific questions, you should schedule a meeting with your instructor or TA before coming to a History Writing Lab.

- Additionally, and it should go without saying, it is expected that all undergraduate students attending History Writing Labs treat our graduate students with respect and that you have patience on days when the History Writing Labs are busy.
- The graduate students offer their valuable time and expertise to assist our students in becoming better writers, scholars, and historians. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and could result in being banned from attending future History Writing Labs.
