Poster Session: Tuesday, April 28, 2026
The Maxwell School Celebration of Undergraduate Scholarship is our annual recognition of student research achievement in the social sciences. This event gathers the Maxwell community together to share social science research findings across disciplines.
It also provides an opportunity to focus on and celebrate the contributions of our undergraduate students. Students participate by submitting a research paper, presenting a research poster, or both. Please read below for participation requirements, application and registration processes, and suggestions for poster designs.
Eligibility
All undergraduates in a Maxwell School upper division research seminar or in a Distinction or Honors Program are eligible to participate in the Celebration of Undergraduate Scholarship. Participants must have completed a substantial and original research project within the context of their course.
Once students are registered for the Celebration, they are enrolled in the Maxwell School Celebration of Undergraduate Scholarship organization in Blackboard. All official communication about the Celebration and submission of materials will take place through Blackboard.
Submission Requirements
Papers: Original social science research papers of a least 4,000 words in length are eligible for submission. For a paper to be considered for the Outstanding Student Paper Award, it must be submitted via Blackboard by 11:59 pm on April 17, 2026. No late submissions can be accepted. View more participant information and design instructions here.
