Classroom Technology Training

LEMP provides technology classroom orientation sessions to help faculty and staff become familiar with the equipment that is provided in the technology classrooms.

Session Types

Mini Session

LEMP offers targeted instruction on specific classroom technology that faculty members plan to use during their class sessions. Mini sessions are typically 10 minutes in length. For example, if a faculty member needs to use a DVD for a presentation, LEMP consultants will provide hands-on guidance on operating the DVD player. These focused mini-sessions address individual pieces of technology and are available for the following equipment:

  • Laptop computer connection

  • Teaching station equipment

  • Wireless microphone

  • Document camera

  • DVD/Blu-Ray player

  • Assisted Listening System (ALS) connection

Orientation Session

Orientation sessions offer a comprehensive overview of the classroom technology available, guiding faculty through the features and capabilities of the tech-enhanced learning environments. These sessions will also demonstrate how to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning, and will introduce participants to the media resources supported by ITS. Orientation sessions are typically 25 minutes in length.
