The College of Visual and Performing Arts provides personal-device licenses of Adobe Creative Cloud for students enrolled in certain classes. Students with an assigned license may download and install Creative Cloud software on a personally-owned computer or mobile device.

Depending on your current circumstances, instructions for using your personal-device license differ. Follow the instructions that best match:

I am currently paying for an Adobe Creative Cloud license.

Please Note

If you're currently paying for a Creative Cloud subscription Adobe will continue to bill you. If you wish to cancel your subscription and use your VPA personal-device license exclusively, please see Adobe's cancelation instructions and cancelation terms and fees.

Open the Creative Cloud desktop application on your computer.
Click the blue icon in the top right-hand corner of the window and Sign Out of your current account. Please note this may take several minutes.
Once signed out, reboot your computer.
After rebooting, follow the instructions on the Adobe at Syracuse University page to sign in with your personal-device license.

I am currently using an Adobe Creative Cloud trial license.

Open the Creative Cloud desktop application on your computer.
Click the blue icon in the top right-hand corner of the window and click the "Adobe Account" link.
In the web browser window that appears, click on the blue icon in the upper right-hand corner of the window and select the "Sign Out" link. Please note this may take several minutes.
When the logout process from the web browser is complete, return to the Creative Cloud desktop application.
In the Creative Cloud desktop application, click on the blue icon again and select the "Sign Out" link. Please note this may take several minutes.
Once signed out, reboot your computer.
After rebooting, follow the instructions on the Adobe at Syracuse University page to sign in with your personal-device license.

I have the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application installed and need to apply a VPA personal-device license.

Follow the instructions on the Adobe at Syracuse University page to sign in with your personal-device license.

I do not have any Adobe software installed.

Follow Adobe's instructions to download and install the Creative Cloud desktop application.
After the installation completes, follow the instructions on the Adobe at Syracuse University page to sign in with your personal-device license.
