SU Private Network (Wireless 5G) Pilot in Partnership with JMA Wireless

For the Fall 2022 semester, Syracuse University, in partnership with JMA Wireless, piloted a new Private Cellular Network (CBRS) in 3 residence halls and a few Academic buildings which provides 5G Cellular connectivity within those areas.  The initial pilot included approximately 1600 First Year students and the Residence Advisors in the 3 locations. The SU Private Network has since grown, and will be extended further across campus in the near future.

Note: this network is not replacing AOX or other campus Wi-Fi networks, but will work in conjunction with them.
