NYC - Admissions

Newhouse NYC is offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.  Admission is granted on a space-available basis.

Dates and Deadlines

Spring 2027: Applications due by Sept. 15, 2026

Summer 2027: Applications due by October 24, 2026

Fall 2027: Applications due by February 15, 2027

Eligibility

• Spring/Fall: 60 credits completed by the start of your semester in NYC.

• Summer:  Rising juniors and seniors

• Students are required to meet with their academic adviser to discuss a program plan for your semester in NYC.

• Good academic, judicial and financial standing.

• Duals and non-Newhouse students should email your home college approval form to NewhouseNYC@syr.edu.

• Submit the Newhouse NYC $60 application fee
