Design Guidelines

  • Do not bold, italicize, underline, or strike-through text to emphasize the content. These formatting options are not used by screen readers and other assistive technologies.
  • Insert a Tip, Note, Info, or Warning display to highlight to emphasize content.
  • Do not use a Tip, Note, Info, or Warning display to repeat content already within the document.
  • A document should not contain numerous Tip, Note, Info, or Warning displays—consider simplifying your documents and breaking the document into multiple pages.
