Maxwell BIPOC Mentoring Program
The Maxwell BIPOC Mentoring Program (MBMP) is designed to provide tailored support for graduate students of color and international graduate students within the Maxwell School community. MBMP connects Maxwell graduate students who self-identify as international students or students of color with alumni mentors who share similar interests and backgrounds and can assist them in navigating their public service careers. The program fosters a support network through intentional dialogue and experiences that build self-confidence, career success, and cross-cultural engagement.
Mission
The MBMP aims to address and generate awareness of issues impacting students from diverse backgrounds. It provides individualized support through a dedicated mentoring program, helping students receive guidance from alumni, engage in career-related dialogues, and develop professional skills. The program strives to create an inclusive environment where students of color feel comfortable, included, and seen within both Maxwell and the larger Syracuse University community.
