Content Statuses allow Content Contributors to set statuses on content for life cycle management. When set for a page or other content object, Content Statuses appear at the top of every page. Each space comes setup with a few default Content Statuses, however Space Administrators can configure additional statuses to use across the space. Such statuses may include: In progress, Ready for review, and Rough Draft. Some other ideas for statuses may include Verified letting the user know that the content is the “approved” version within the space, depending on your space’s knowledge management practices. Content Statuses also include timestamp metadata as well. See the top of this page for an example.

To set a Content Status on a content object, edit the content, then in the page title hover, select Status.

See the following vendor documentation for more information on using Content Statuses: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/add-a-status-to-your-page-or-blog/
