Certification Exam for Staff/Faculty

1. Exam Tutorial Instruction: Certiport MOS Exam Tutorial (no voiceover)

2. Create a Certiport account using your SYR email address here. (Remember your userid and password)

3. Microsoft certification exams MUST be taken on a Windows machine, so be sure to study from that perspective (not on a Mac as the functionality are different).

4. If you require a Windows Environment to study, please you one of the Labs in the Edit Suites (472), BDJ Labs (482,482A,486,491) or RDS (https://rds.syr.edu/)

5. Passing any of these exams will require that you study. Surface-level knowledge of any of these programs will not be enough to pass the exam.

7. To schedule the Exam please fill up the form below. Confirmation email will be sent 1 day before your exam date.

Exam Day Itself:

1. Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your exam time. Newhouse 2 472 Edit Suites.

2. All electronic devices must be turned off/silenced and checked in with the proctor.

3. Once you are seated, proceed to login using your userid/password for Certiport.

4. Remember to check your email and take note of the Access Code to enter into the system.

5. If you did not fill up your address in your account, you will be prompted to add your address in. Please have this information beforehand to speed things up.

6. Breaks are allowed but the testing clock cannot be paused.

7. You will immediately receives a pass/fail grade at the end of the exam.

8. Once an exam is completed, you may view/print a certificate in the “My Transcript” section of your Certiport account.
   
   

After the Exam:

1. For retakes, please check with your professor on the details.

2. Do not purchase a voucher and reschedule unless you are told to do so.
