Survey of academic librarianship, including a variety of public services and technical services domains within the academic library. Emphasizes the role of academic libraries in higher education and attainment of institutional mission.Â

After taking this course, students will be able to:
- Articulate the role of libraries and librarians within higher education contexts; internalize and personalize ways to embody and/or advance that role.
- Acquire experience and/or develop existing expertise in a domain encompassed by academic librarianship.
- Prepare for professional entrance into academic library environments; formulate and enact plans for integration into professional academic library practice.
