It is preferable to set up a recurring meeting to be used for your class. This allows the URL for the meeting to remain consistent throughout the semester, and will assist with the back-end management of recordings.
Log in
Log in to your Zoom account via a web browser
- For the Fall 2020 semester, there are two parallel versions of Zoom in use at the College of Law
- If you initially signed up using the email address "[netid]@law.syr.edu",
- Visit https://sulaw.zoom.us
- Click "sign in"
- Enter your full email address and the password that you set
- If you initially logged in to zoom by visiting https://zoom.syr.edu,
- Visit https://zoom.syr.edu
- Click the "Login to SU Zoom Account" link
- Click "sign in"
- Enter your SU credentials
- If you initially signed up using the email address "[netid]@law.syr.edu",
Create a new meeting
Confirm meeting settings and generate the perpetual URL
- Click the Meetings tab on the left-hand menu
- Click the blue Schedule a New Meeting button
- Use the title of your class for the meeting topic
- Tick the box for "recurring meeting"
- Specify the time and recurrences
- Specify other meeting settings as desired
- Click Save
Copy the meeting link
The meeting URL will remain the same for each specified recurrence
- Right-click the URL listed beside "invite link"
- Select "copy link address"
Paste the link in Blackboard
