  • By default the Mac will NOT print at high quality on the large plotters. This doesn’t matter much for line work, but when printing blocks of color or photos you may see banding or unwanted lines if you don’t adjust the print quality settings.
  • Bring up the print screen in Acrobat (or some other program) and choose one of the large plotters such as ARCH- Pichu-Postscript.
  • Click the Printer button
  • Click ‘Yes’ to continue.
  • Click the ‘Show Details’ button.
  • Change the drop down box from ‘Layout’ to ‘Paper/Quality’.
  • Change Print Quality to Best or drag the slider over to Best/High Quality.
  • You can save a new Preset or save the change to your Default Settings preset to make it easier for future use.
