Vehicle Inspections – Transportation
Click on the Waffle to open your icons
Click on the + in the upper right corner
Select Create Inspection from the menu
Click on the > in the Asset section to Select an asset (Vehicle your inspecting)
Click on the > in the Template section to Select the inspection template
Selecting a vehicle to inspect
DO NOT TYPE IN THE BOX – IF YOU DO IT’S GOING TO CAUSE PROBLEMS AND YOU’LL PROBABLY HAVE TO START OVER
Select the 3 vertical dots next to the box labeled asset
If you select Search then search for the vehicle (easiest to use the VEH number)
If you select Scan then scan the barcode on the vehicle
Search for a Vehicle
· Vehicle number
· Key words like Trolley, Van, etc.
OR Scan a barcode (located on the vehicle inside the door. Make sure you’re scanning the Facilities Asset Barcode.
This will open your camera – center the barcode with the red line and the asset will be added
NOTE: If you didn’t allow Maximo to access your camera, you’ll need to update this setting before you can scan. Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera: Make sure IBM Maximo is turned on.
Select the Inspection Template = Transportation Daily Vehicle Inspection
Click on the Continue Button
Select à Start
Enter Odometer Reading
a. The system will throw an error that must be fixed if you enter an odometer reading less than the prior odometer reading.
Approach è If Working Properly, select that button. If the vehicle needs to go to the Auto Garage, select Requires Maintenance

Interior è If Working Properly, select that button. If the vehicle needs to go to the Auto Garage, select Requires Maintenance

Driver Confirmation
a. ADD ANY COMMENTS - ESPECIALLY IF THE VEHICLE REQUIRES MAINTENANCE (not required)
b. Click on the + to add your signature affirming your answers
c. Click on Save
The Complete button will turn Blue once all the questions have been answered
Click on Complete to finish the inspection
Click on Done to go back to the In Progress Inspections
To find a completed inspection
Click on the waffle
Select the Inspection Tile
Select Completed from the drop-down menu in the upper left
Use the Magnifying Glass to search or scan a barcode for a completed inspection
Click on the View Inspection Button to view the Inspection form and answers
