This page covers how to print on the Syracuse Architecture 6x9" envelopes.
Settings on the copier
- Before sending the print, load the envelope in Tray 5 (Bypass) on the left side of the copier.
- Load the side you want to print on face down (it will print on the underside).
- Load the envelope flap top edge pointing in so that the 9" side feeds into the printer.
- When you load the paper, the screen will prompt you to confirm the paper settings.
- For size, pick 6 x 9".
- For type, pick Envelope.
- Color can be left at White.
- Click Confirm when done.
Settings on your computer
- On your computer, print only PDFs (convert to PDF before you send the print). Don't print directly from Microsoft Word.
- Open the PDF in Acrobat and bring up the Print dialog box.
- After choosing the copier, set the following:
- Actual size
- enable 'Choose paper source by PDF page size'
- Auto portrait/landscape
- Click Properties to bring up the Xerox settings window.
- Under the Print Options tab > Paper section, click the drop down arrow.
- For Other Size, choose Fit to New Paper Size > Envelope (6 x 9").
- For Other Type, choose Envelope. Basically the idea is to match the settings you chose on the copier in Step 4 above.
- Now send the print. The paper should automatically feed into the printer. It should exit the printer on the right side.
Troubleshooting
- If the envelope does not get pulled in, double check the settings.
