Topic Overview

The chat function in Collaborate Ultra allows for everyone in the room to communicate at any time with everyone else in the room. Moderators can utilize this function to allow others to ask questions during the presentation or to share information during the session. 

Chat Capabilities

Everyone

• Moderators will be able to monitor a classroom chat panel where everyone in the class has the opportunity to ask questions or contribute to the class.  

Moderator 

• If there are multiple Moderators in the class, they will be able to communicate with each other via Moderator Chat to allow them to collaborate and communicate with each other outside of the Audio/Visual capabilities. 

Supervised Chat

• Prior to entering the class, if the professor or moderator selects the Moderators supervise all private chats function under Private Chats, they will also be able to see all communications between participants.
