Topic Overview

Locking Discussion Boards allows students to read the discussion forums, but not to post discussions.

Steps

1. Click on the Discussion tab under Tools.
2. Enter the discussion forum you wish to lock.
3. Make sure the List View option is selected.
   
   
   
   
4. Check thread boxes to the lock the threads.
5. Click Thread Actions, and select Lock.
   
   
   
   
6. The Status under the discussion board should now be Locked.
