Building Learning Modules

Topic Overview

Learning Modules are effective ways to deliver course content in an organized fashion. Items in a Learning Module are managed like all other content and can be placed in Content Areas. You can include course links to Assignments, Tests, Readings and Discussion Boards from within the Learning Module and organize your content in the order you want your students to move through the lesson.

Steps

  1. Learning Modules can be built in content areas, such as the Content Page.
  2. Open the Content Area you want to build your Learning Module in.
  3. Click the Build Content button.
  4. Select Learning Module – fourth option from the bottom of the Create column.

  13. Content appears in the order it was created but it can be rearranged by dragging the items up and down in the list.
  14. Discussion Boards, Blogs, Tests, Assignments, etc. can also be built outside of the Learning Modules. You can still link to these types of content within a Learning Module by using the Build Content > Course Link option.
