Troubleshooting

AirOrangeX is not an option in the list of available networks

If your computer is not seeing the AirOrangeX network appear in the list of your available Wi-Fi networks, it is recommended that you first restart your computer.

If you still can't see AirOrangeX after a full restart of the computer, you may also attempt to toggle the Wi-Fi. Follow the steps below to toggle your Wi-Fi on/off.

 Toggling WiFi in macOS

Depending on the version of your operating system, your toggle may be available by clicking on the Wi-Fi symbol without navigating to Network Preferences

  1. Go to the Wi-Fi icon in the tool bar at the top of the screen and choose Open Network Preferences.
  2. Choose Turn Wi-Fi off
  3. Choose Turn Wi-Fi on. Your Wi-Fi should now be on again. You are now ready to attempt connection to AirOrangeX.

macOS connects to AirOrangeHelp or Gadgets&Games

Rarely, after connecting to AirOrangeHelp to set up AirOrangeX, your operating system may try to continue to connect to AirOrangeHelp before trying to connect to AirOrangeX. Additionally, if you have connected to Gadgets&Games with the device, it may also choose that network before choosing AirOrangeX. This can be fixed by following the steps below:

 Adjust WiFi priority in macOS
  1.  Go to the Wi-Fi icon in the tool bar at the top of the screen and choose Open Network Preferences.

  2. Choose Advanced in the bottom right hand corner of the window.

  3.  In this menu you can add or delete known Wi-Fi networks as well as choose to "Auto-Join" networks. If you see AirOrangeHelp or Gadgets&Games in the list, you can simply delete them or uncheck "Auto-Join."
