The College of Visual and Performing Arts Research and Creative Grants are intended to support and encourage the growth of research and creative work in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Additional goals include attracting external funding, prestigious awards, and other forms of national or international recognition.

Proposals that align with one or more of the areas of distinctive and aspirational excellence in the University’s Academic Strategic Plan are desired, especially those that address diversity, equity, and inclusion. Faculty are encouraged to include students in proposed projects. Finally, proposals that are collaborative among and across disciplines are strongly encouraged.

Research and creative grants (up to $5,000)

Eligibility

All VPA tenure track and tenured full-time faculty are eligible to apply. Non-tenure track faculty, including postdoctoral scholars, are not eligible to apply.

Proposal Guidelines

The deadline to submit proposals will be in mid-October. A revised request for proposals will be released at the beginning of the fall semester. Updated guidelines and deadlines will be posted on this page and announced college-wide.
