The Business Services Office processes personnel appointments, oversees online time entry, and distributes paychecks. We also work directly with the University’s central Human Resources and Payroll offices.
Online time sheets for Weekly and Semi-Weekly Employees are due on Wednesday, the last day of the pay period, to allow time for supervisor review and approval.
For weekly employees who have not set up direct deposit, paychecks will be available for pickup in 270 Huntington Hall the following Wednesday.

Employee Payrate/Chartstring Change
You can make one or both of these changes by emailing atwelker@syr.edu the changes needed.
Chartstring Change
This is a PIN level change. Meaning that the change effects the PIN not the person. If a PIN is a multi-incumbent PIN, then this change will affect everyone assigned to the PIN.
Payrate Change
This is a person level change. This change only effects the person you are changing the pay rate for, not the PIN. If a PIN is a multi-incumbent PIN, then this change will only affect the selected individual not everyone assigned to the PIN.
