The following workstream applies to new ICT products and existing ICT products considered for renewal. It does not apply to single user exclusions.
Accessibility Ratings
"Green" checkmark = Software is conformant with standards and usable.
"Yellow" triangle = Software has conformance violations, but core function is usable.
"Red" X = Software not usable due to conformance violations.
Accessible ICT Procurement Process Flowchart
Process Description
- Requesting Unit identifies ICT product(s) considered for procurement.
- Unit engages Digital Accessibility Liaison (DAL).
- DAL submits product(s) to Allyant for ProcureEnsure Testing.
- If product receives accessibility rating of "Green," Unit may submit product to AAC for approval.
- If product receives accessibility rating of "Yellow," Unit may submit product to AAC for consideration.
- If product receives accessibility rating of "Red," Unit has three options:
- Option1: Unit abandons product and searches for an alternative product.
- Option 2: Unit recommends that vendor work with Allyant to remediate product.
- If product becomes "Yellow," Unit may submit to AAC for consideration.
- If product becomes "Green," Unit may submit to AAC for approval.
- Option 3: If specific exception criterion is met, the Unit may submit an exception request to the ACC.
