On your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) you have a default mail application called Apple Mail. This works wonderfully with SUMail. However, you can also download the Outlook app to use with your SUmail.

Instructions for Configuring SUMail on Apple Mail

  1. Tap Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Add Account

  2. Tap "Exchange"

  3. Tap in the E-mail box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, Netid@syr.edu).

  4. When the pop-up appears, choose sign-in.

  5. A Microsoft window will open in. Tap in the password field  and enter your NetID password. Then tap Sign In.

  6. As long as the password is correct, the Microsoft page will close and you will be brought back to your Mail.app.

  7. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch to OFF

8.  Tap Save 



Mail Sync Options

  1. Tap Settings on the home page.
  2. Tap Mail, Contact, Calendars.

  3. Tap the SU Mail account.

  4. Tap Mail Days to Sync and select how far back you want your device to sync with your mail
  5. If you have other mail folders you want mail pushed to, tap Mail Folders to Push and select folders you want pushed.

Delete Account

  1. Tap Settings on the home page.
  2. Tap Mail, Contact, Calendars.
  3. Tap the SU Mail account.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom.
  5. Tap Delete Account and Accept
