Polling
Polls are great to engage your students/participants and keep them interested. Students/participants respond to your poll by selecting one of up to five responses.
- Log into Blackboard
- Join Session
- Click the purple button - bottom right hand corner of the screen
4. Click the square with arrow icon, which is the Share Content feature
5. Click Polling
6. Select Poll
Note: If you choose one of the numbered choice polls, students/participants see numbers as their choices. Tell your students/participants what each number represents. Share an image, Powerpoint, or the whiteboard to show your poll question and the numbered choices with related responses. Example: If you choose 3 Choices poll and have choices 1. Yes, 2. No, 3. Maybe, students/participants can choose between 1, 2, 3 as their response.
7. Click Start
8. Wait while students/participants answer the poll
9. Students/participants answer poll
10. Click Lock Poll to allows for no more answers. Click unlock poll to allow for more answers. Click Clear to clear the answers
11. Click button - top right hand corner to end poll

Breakout groups allow for small group collaboration, instructors or leaders can create breakout groups that are separate from the main room and assign attendees to them
