titlePreparing Exchange for SUMail

If you received an email indicating you need to configure your Exchange account in preparation for migration to SUMail, we recommend simply removing your account from the device and reconfiguring the account using the steps below. Configuring your email account with your full email address will properly prepare you for your account's migration.

Instructions for configuring SUMail in Apple Mail for iOS 14

  1. Go to Settings > Mail >

  2. Tap "Exchange"

  3. Tap in the E-mail box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, Netid@syr.edu).

  4. When the pop-up appears, choose sign-in.

  5. A Microsoft window will open in. Tap in the password field  and enter your NetID password. Then tap Sign In.

  6. As long as the password is correct, the Microsoft page will close and you will be brought back to your Mail.app.

  7. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch to OFF

  2. Tap "Exchange"
