  1. If this is the first e-mail account on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account
  2. Tap "Exchange" or "Microsoft Exchange"
  3. Tap in the E-mail box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, Netid@syr.edu).
  4. Tap in the Username box and enter your full e-mail address again.
  5. Tap in the Password box and enter your password.
  6. Tap Next on the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  7. Tap in the Server box and enter outlook.office365.com
    (Note: If you are asked for a domain, leave this field blank)
  8. Tap Next
  9. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch to OFF
  10. Tap Save or Done

    If this Process does not work for you try the following steps:

     

    1. Steps Note: In some circumstances we are seeing the email setup with two "@syr.edu"s as the email account. This will restrict your mail delivery. If this occurs, remove your account and set up as indicated below.

    1. Perform steps 1-7 same as above.
    2. In the email box "Email" field enter your Netid. (Your email will already be here you an just delete the @syr.edu)address will populate. Delete the "@syr.edu" portion).
    3. In the username box "Username" field enter your full email address (Netid@syr.edu).
    4. Tap Next
    5. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch to OFF
