  1. If this is the first e-mail account on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account
  2. Tap "Exchange" or "Microsoft Exchange"
  3. Tap in the E-mail box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, Netid@syr.edu).
  4. Tap in the Username box and enter your full e-mail address again.
  5. Tap in the Password box and enter your password.
  6. Tap Next on the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  7. Tap in the Server box and enter outlook.office365.com
    (Note: If you are asked for a domain, leave this field blank)
  8. Tap Next
  9. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch to OFF
  10. Tap Save or Done

    If this Process does not work for you try the following steps:

     

    1. Steps 1-7 same as above.
    2. In the email box enter your Netid. (Your email will already be here you an just delete the @syr.edu)
    3.In the username box enter your full email address (Netid@syr.edu).
    4. Tap Next
    5. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch to OFF

Mail Sync Options

  1. Tap Settings on the home page.
  2. Tap Mail, Contact, Calendars.

  3. Tap the SU Mail account.

  4. Tap Mail Days to Sync and select how far back you want your device to sync with your mail
  5. If you have other mail folders you want mail pushed to, tap Mail Folders to Push and select folders you want pushed.
