  1. Start Blender
  2. On the menu, click Edit, Preferences
  3. In Preferences, on the left click Add-ons.
  4. Click Install at the top.

  5. Browse to the following location and select the install file:
    G:\ARCH\Student Resources\Software\Poly Haven\ polyhavenassets_github.zip|
    Then click Install Add-on.

  6. Now scroll down the list to find the add-on and make sure the box is checked.

  7. In the same Preferences window, click File Paths on the left.

  8. We are going to add the Poly Haven asset library, so click the ‘+’ sign under Asset Libraries.

  9. Browse to Local Disk (C:) and then double click Poly Haven to go inside the folder. Then click the blue Add Asset Library button.

  10. Poly Haven will appear as an asset library.

  11. Close the Blender Preference window. Is should auto-save these changes.

  12. To access and update the Asset Library, expand the right side panel by grabbing the left vertical edge and dragging it to the left to about half the screen width.

  14. Click the Editor Type button and choose Asset Browser.

  15. Change the drop down from All to Poly Haven.

  16. You should see hundreds of assets appear on the right. We have already pre-downloaded 6.5GB of Poly Haven assets, but if you want to check for additional, click the Fetch Assets button at the top (not necessary though).

  17. You will likely have to repeat this process any time you login to a different lab computer, as settings do not carry over from login to login.
