Assistive Technology Computers (Bird 1st floor, room 123)


Assistive technology computers include all software under the Windows Public Desktops build, in addition to the following: 

PC without scanner, big fonts keyboard (ADAP-01)

  • Index-direct-Braille (available via right-click context menu)

  • Duxbury Braille Translator

  • Vocalizer Expressive

PC without scanner (ADAP-02)

  • Freedom Scientific (BookSearch, FineReader, Fusion (formerly JAWS and ZoomText), Ocr, Ocr 32, OmniPage, OpenBook, Synthesizer Eloquence, TextToAudio)

  • PEARL Scanner (available for 3 hour loan at the 1st floor Circulation desk)
