Specific instructions for printing on the Holden Observatory invitations

Invitations   

  • Printer settings must be set to B5 (JIS) paper size and set to Portrait Orientation
  • Load the invitation face down with the blank, printable side facing up, with the blue printed edge headfirst into the printer.
  • You may load several at a time, but generally any more than 5 causes the printer to suck multiple in and jam in Tray 1 and in the Rear Panel                                                                                                                                        




 

Envelopes:

  • To have your recipient's name or address show on the center of the Holden Observatory envelopes you will click on "Envelopes" on the top left section of the Word Document
  • Enter the recipient's name (with or without address depending on purpose) in the Delivery Address section
    • Word will add whatever is highlighted in the document as well, so if you prefer not to type, Word will take it right from the document
    • If pulling address from Mail Merge....

  • Click "Options" toward the bottom to open the Envelope printing settings
  • Click the drop-down menu under "Envelope Size", select Size 6 3/4 (3 5/8 x 6 1/2 in)
  • Before hitting Print, make sure that the envelope is in Tray 1, face up and the folded side to the left  (with the return address at the bottom left)

(you can check "Printing Options" if you want to make sure that it is set for this orientation, however it is the default setting. Hit "Reset" if you think you may have clicked a different one)
