Adobe Creative Cloud License Activation

Adobe Creative Cloud License Activation

Instructions:

For Students using Adobe on Personal Devices:

For personal devices (Mac and Windows), the following steps needs to be done:

Please go to the following link (My Access) and look for the "Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Student Named License" and choose the "Request" link on the far right.

After submitting your request you should receive an email confirming you will receive access which then allows you to authenticate using your SU email address.

The license needs up to 1 hour to synchronize with your account after requesting.

You will also need to download the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application for the best and optimal experience. From there you can download the Adobe software you desire.

Important

  • When you are signing in make sure you select “Company or School Account”

  • Make sure to sign-in using your NetID@syr.edu account when prompted

  • For NEW students to Newhouse (freshmen or transfers), licensing is available to start being requested around the week before classes begin or the week classes start. This is when we transition from the previous semester. Licensing will be available for requests from that point onward as long as you are a Newhouse student.

Access is good for 120 days so you will need to do this again after every semester including summer until graduation. You will receive emails reminding you to re-activate your license if you are still using it.

Troubleshooting:

If you’re experiencing issues with Adobe Creative Cloud, you may need to clear your browser cache and log out of the application. Additionally, if you’ve accidentally signed in with your NetID@g.syr.edu (which should be NetID@syr.edu), follow link below on how to clear your cache for your browser:

To verify if your license has been applied to your account, follow these steps:

1. Open a new incognito browser window.

2. Go to the Adobe Account page.

3. Check if it displays “Adobe for Enterprise SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY.”

4. Click on “View all apps and services.”

5. Ensure that all Adobe applications are listed.

If all these steps are successful, you should be able to clear your cache and sign back into the Adobe Creative Cloud app.

For Lab Use:

If you are using Adobe in one of the Labs in Newhouse and using our Newhouse computers
