Sony Ci Access for Newhouse Faculty and Staff
Purpose: This page explains what Sony Ci is for Newhouse users, who should use it, and how faculty and staff can request access to a Sony Ci workspace.
Sony Ci is being introduced in Newhouse as a media collaboration and cloud workflow platform, replacing Frame.io for applicable school use cases. It is intended to support media review, file sharing, and production collaboration. If you are a faculty or staff member who needs Sony Ci for teaching, program operations, or approved school business, use the process below to request access.
Important: Access is not automatic for all users. Faculty and staff should request access through Newhouse Information & Computing Services (NICS) and include enough detail for the team to identify the correct workspace, permissions, and business need.
How to request access
To request access, Goto https://support.atlassian.syr.edu/servicedesk/customer/portal/193and use this option to request access.

Best practice: Use your Syracuse University account details consistently in your request so NICS can match your access to the correct university identity and workflow.
What to expect after submitting a request
After NICS receives your request, the team may review the use case, confirm the appropriate workspace, and either add you to an existing environment or help coordinate creation of a new one. You may receive follow-up questions if the request does not identify the needed workspace, owner, or intended use clearly enough.
NICS may confirm whether a workspace already exists for your course, department, or project.
You may receive setup instructions or an invitation once access has been provisioned.
