I see an error message:“You don’t have access to manage apps” in the Creative Cloud Desktop app
If you see this error message on your personally owned computer, then you have a preference file installed with incorrect settings. To correct this issue, follow the instructions below.
- Locate the ServiceConfig.xml file:
- Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs\ServiceConfig.xml
- Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/Configs/ServiceConfig.xml
- Move/Copy this file to your Desktop
- Open the copied ServiceConfig.xml (the one on your Desktop) using the application Text Edit (Mac) or Notepad (Windows).
- Find and replace all instances of the word "false" with "true" then save the document.
- Copy this file back into its original folder:
- Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs\ServiceConfig.xml
- Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/Configs/ServiceConfig.xml
- Reboot the computer
- Launch the Creative Cloud Desktop Application to find the Apps panel.
How do I restore my Photoshop settings back to Adobe's default state
To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut:
- Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.
Note: Using the keyboard shortcut, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also be reset to default. |
