The Search People directory in SUMail and the Directory in MySlice display the office address for faculty and staff. By default, the office address is the campus mail for the individual's department.
Effective October 4, 2022, main campus faculty and staff have the option entering their actual office location so it appears in campus directories.
To enter an office location, go to MySlice, Personal Profile, Addresses, Add Business Address. Please note that only Address 1 appears in campus directories even though the webform requires that Address 1, City, State and Postal be entered.
To revert back to the department's campus mail address in the directory, login to MySlice to delete the Business Address in MySlice, Personal Profile. Click on the Business Address.
Then click Delete.
Guidelines
Only Address 1 will appear in the directory. Do not use Address 2 or Address 3. MySlice requires that City, State and Postal be entered, but these address components are not displayed in the directory.
Use of the Business address in MySlice is meaningful only to faculty and staff with offices on main campus. Individuals that work outside of main campus should not enter a Business Address in MySlice so that the department's campus mail address continues to display in the directory.
Generally, department administrators do not have access to Personal Profile for faculty and staff in their units. Adding, changing and deleting Business Address must be done by the individual in MySlice.
