The development of your personal career plan takes time and energy, and the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies offers programming opportunities and resources that assist you in understanding your skill assets and where those qualities fit within different career paths.
The College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Office of Student Success offers career counseling to CRS students. Contact the office for an appointment or schedule one through Handshake, Syracuse University’s career management tool. Handshake also allows you to find job and internship postings, career fair and event details, employer information sessions, and employer descriptions.
Syracuse University’s Career Services website offers helpful information on resume and cover letter basics, networking, interviews, and more.
Please note: if you would like to take an internship for credit, you will need to secure a faculty sponsor and complete the Internship Proposal Agreement form [PDF 602 KB]. Please refer to the University’s Career Services website for specific directions on how to register your internship for credit.
