The environment and society (E&S) minor examines the social dimensions of environmental issues and sustainability, giving you a deep understanding of the political, cultural and economic factors that shape the relationship between society and the natural environment. The minor requires the completion of 18 credits including an introduction to environmental studies and an introduction to physical geography. The remaining courses must be selected from a list of primarily upper-division environmentally oriented courses identified by the E&S director and steering committee. At least two elective courses completed for this minor must come from departments other than geography and the environment.
