Undergraduate students in the Washington Semester program are required to live in the housing options arranged by the University except in rare circumstances. Currently, students in the program are living in the Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH) TurnKey Housing but at other times students may be living in other contracted and fully-furnished apartments in close proximity to classes at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Maxwell's D.C. campus headquarters.

Since few of you may know each other going in to this semester program, we have tried to develop some indicators to help place you in the apartments with compatible roommates. You will be living with each other while trying to simultaneously take classes and work in the professional world. In such a program, there are many pressures on you, and the little things in life can easily add easily add up. When the day comes that comes that you need to wake up early for your job and your roommate comes in late at night from partying down in Adam’s Morgan, you will appreciate the value of spending some time now to complete this exercise.
