Topic Overview

Sometimes after a course copy there are extraneous columns in the grade center that you do not want the students to see, but that you do not want to delete. However, simply hiding the column in the grade center does not prevent students from seeing their grade for that column.

Here is how to completely hide a column in the grade center and from the students.

Steps

  1. Open the Full Grade Center, found under the Grade Center options in the Control Panel.
Grade Center Menu, Select Full Grade CenterImage Modified
  2. Locate the column you want to hide and click the drop down arrow.
  3. Click Show/Hide to Users as show shown in the red box here. This will completely hide the column from the students.

  5. To hide it from the instructor view as well, there are two options:
    1. Option 1 - Click the drop down arrow for the column and select Hide Column.

    2. Option 2 - Under Manage, select ColumnOrganization.

      1. Once in column organization, select the appropriate column and click Show/Hide to bring up several options. Click Hide Selected Columns and click Submit to save it.

    3. Following either of these options you will not be able to see the column in the grade center.

You will only be able to see it again by clicking Show Selected Columns in the Column Organization feature.
