Add a Test
On the Course Content page,select the plus sign wherever you want to add a test. In the menu, select Create to open the Create Item panel and select Test. The New Test page opens.

Add a Folder for an AssignmentIf you would like to add a folder first, select the Folder option from the slide out panel. Once the folder is created, you can then expand it to add a test. |

On you course content page or in a folder/module, select a plus icon where you want to the test to be placed, and select Create > Test.

Enter a descriptive title for the test. If you do not enter a title, it will default to "New Test" + the date the test was created.

Note: You cannot enable parallel grading on a test with questions. If you choose to activate ‘Display one question at a time’ or ‘Question randomization’ all pages will be merged and as such, the page breaks will be removed.

Add test question and answers
Check the box next to the correct answer (if required). If you want to reorder the answers after you have entered them, use the opposing arrows to the right of the answer text field to move the answer up or down. The automated Feedback slider is defaulted to off. If you wish to add feedback, click on the slider and it will open the feedback panel where you can enter your feedback. Enter the points possible for each question in the grade pill.

Show or hide the test
By default, the item is Hidden From Students. If you wish to make it available, select Visible to Students from the drop down menu found in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Alternatively, you can set release conditions for the test by selecting Release Conditions.
