The Roscoe Martin Fund

provides grants to graduate students for expenses related to dissertation and thesis research, including travel to perform research, data fees, and other research needs

honors the memory of Roscoe C. Martin, Professor of Political Science and founding scholar of the Public Administration discipline. A professor at Syracuse University from 1949 until he died in 1972, Martin served as the eighth president of the American Society for Public Administration from 1949 to 1950. His many popular publications included New Horizons in Public Administration (1945), the first book published by the University of Alabama Press
