What is Collage for?
Collage is a place to share images and graphics with the SU community and beyond.
Our Current Stats:
Test
- allocated 37.5GB, utilized 60%
- storing 8,097 images uploaded in approximately 2 weeks time
Prod
- allocated 500 GB, utilized 56%
- storing 47,670 images
- largest single image so far 530 MB
- approximately 170 users
What's a soft launch about?
There are a whole lot of people on campus that were looking for a DAM solution! A soft launch lets us keep the small, controlled user group we need to hone system configurations. With a small user group we are able to more closely monitor performance, verify configurations and functionality, and efficiently and effectively make large changes to the system.

Different people have different rights to Collage. Basically, there are those who can download, those who can upload or download, and those who get to decide who gets to be an uploader (users, contributors, and admins).

Collage End-of-LifeThe Collage system is now End-of-Life (EOL) and is being retired. As of September 15, 2022, access has been restricted. Requests for images will be processed through Syracuse University Division of Marketing. The Division of Marketing will continue to support targeted searches for campus partners for a short time.
