Set course availability through Blackboard course
All Ultra Courses by default are set to private. When Unavailable by default. When you are ready to set the course available to students, select the Courses link from the global Blackboard menu (see image below) to access your course list. Open the three dot menu of the course you want to make available and select Open Course > Open to students (see second image below).

Alternatively, you can change your course's status on the Course Content page under Details & Actions. Click the Students can't access this course link and select open to students.

visit the “Course Access” section of the Course Settings. There, instructors will find a toggle labelled “Close Course.” When it is switched on, a grey label will indicate that the course is “Unavailable;” when the toggle is switched off, a blue label will indicate that the course is “Open.”

The current course status is also displayed in the upper right corner of the course next to the “Course Settings” buttons.

You can access the course settings two ways. If you are inside the course, you can click “Course Settings” in the upper-right corner of the course. If you are on the Courses Page, you can click the menu button on the course row or tile and choose “Course Settings.”

Marking a course Complete
You can choose to set your course to Complete “Complete” when the course has ended, but you can no longer ; once you do so neither you nor your students can make changes to it. Students can the course. This setting allows students to access the content, but they can't participate in the course any longer . For to, for example, they can't reply to discussions or submit assignments. Note that this option is only available for courses in the Ultra Course View.
