The Search People directory in SUMail and the Directory in MySlice display the office address for faculty and staff. By default, the office address is the campus mail for the individual's department.
Effective October 4, 2022, main campus faculty and staff have the option entering their actual office location so it appears in campus directories.
To enter an office location, go to MySlice, Personal Profile, Addresses, Add Business Address. Please note that only Address 1 appears in campus directories even though the webform requires that Address 1, City, State and Postal be entered.
To revert back to the department's campus mail address in the directory, the individual should delete the Business Address in MySlice, Personal Profile.
Guidelines
Do not use Address 2 or Address 3. These lines They do not appear in the directoriesdirectory. MySlice requires that City, State and Postal be entered, but these address components are not displayed in the directoriesdirectory.
Use of the Business address in MySlice is meaningful only to faculty and staff that work with offices on main campus. Individuals that work outside of main campus should not enter a Business Address in Personal Profile so that the department's campus mail address continues to display in the directoriesdirectory.
Generally, departments department administrators do not have administrative access to Personal Profile for faculty and staff in their units. AdditionsAdding, changes changing and deletion of deleting Business Address must be done by the individual in MySlice.
