Active faculty, staff, and students can log into LinkedIn learning by visiting linkedinlearning.syr.edu and logging in with their NetID and password managed at netid.syr.edu. Active users visiting LinkedIn Learning for the first time should simply follow the instructions on the screen to create your account. Note that users attempting to visit the former Lynda.com URL, lynda.syr.edu, will be redirected to the LinkedIn Learning login page.

Lynda.com is being upgraded to LinkedIn Learning
On August 13 2019, Syracuse University is upgrading has upgraded your university Lynda.com account to LinkedIn Learning to help you explore thousands of business, tech, and creative courses to get the skills you need.
All eligible Lynda.com users will receive an email to their NetID@syr.edu email account providing them a link to activate their LinkedIn Learning account. This will also prompt the option for the user Until March 31, 2020, users logging in for the first time will be prompted with the option to link their new LinkedIn Learning account to a new or existing LinkedIn account, which they can create using their NetID@syr.edu email account.

Why did this change occurring?
LinkedIn purchased lynda.com in 2015, and in 2016 Microsoft acquired LinkedIn and decided to rebrand it as LinkedIn Learning. The university has been working with the LinkedIn Learning team over the last several months to help ensure a smooth transfer from lynda.com.
When will the change occur?
The changeover will take place on August 13th, 2019, there will be a brief downtime after which University affiliates will be able to login to LinkedIn Learning.
