Academic Advising
Your academic advisor is a faculty member in your area of study. Please note that advising assignments are made by individual academic schools/departments. Incoming first-year students in VPA are likely to be notified of their academic advisor after they arrive on campus and will not necessarily meet with their academic advisor on Opening WeekendAcademic advisors will be one of your best resources as you figure out your academic career at Syracuse, to help navigate class schedules, course selection, and provide info on how to get involved with the college, university and arts community in order to graduate on time and with the experience necessary to succeed.
